UCD RFC are pleased to announce the appointment of Luke O’Dea as Head Strength & Conditioning coach for the 2021-22 season.
Luke graduated with a degree in Sports Science from IT Carlow in 2018, after which he spent two and a half years as Head of Strength and Conditioning in St Mary’s College, Rathmines. Since graduating he has spent 3 seasons working in the AIL with Wanderers F.C, as well as working on an International stage with the Irish U18’s squad in 2019.
Luke has been involved with Leinster Rugby from U16’s to U20’s over the last 5 years, having recently been appointed to the role of Sub Academy Assistant Athletic Development Coach. He is also currently in his final year of a Masters in Strength and Conditioning from St. Marys University Twickenham.
Luke will have responsibility for implementing and monitoring the Strength and Conditioning programme for our U20 and Senior squads. He is a most welcome addition to the UCD RFC coaching staff and we wish him every success for the coming season.
